For biscuits forgotten opened and gone mouldy :
If you warm them up in a small oven tray for a few minutes, you will see that they go fresher.

While cleaning leguminous seeds :
Put them in a bowl full of warm water before you cook. Let them wait for 5 minutes. Then mix them in water using your hands. So that the dirt on them will go bumpy and go away in the water. After being rinsed the leguminous seeds will be clean.

When buying fish :
Fresh fish gives away a light smell of the sea. Its meat is thick. The fish scale is clinged tightly. It's got lively eyes and red gills.

While boning fish :
There are well-known methods to bone fish. One of the most preferred one is surely pouring some vinegar on it. In that way you can clean its gills more easily.

While boiling fish :
Don't forget to squeeze a lemon to the boiling water in the saucepan. Lemon juice helps fish stay fresh. Also, gives delicious flavour. However make sure that you add just enough. If you add more than enough it would turn sour.

To crack shells of walnuts easily :
In order to crack them easily keep them in salty water for a night. So that wallnuts will not crumble.

If soup is too salty :
Don't be sad because of the salty soup you made. There are some ways to make it better;
- If it's not too salty a cube of sugar will do.
- Add some cubes of patotoes in the soup. They will soak the salt, so take them out when they are cooked.
- If you have added too much salt in your soup, put a small silver spoon and a glass of raw milk. Cook for 5-10 minutes on low temperature. Then take the spoon out.

Soup Oil :
When you cook over-oiled soup; oil covers the surface of it. Over oiled soup is too rich for you. Besides it tastes bad. If you put some leaves of lettuce or ice cubes, you can see that it lessens.
When it goes off you can take the leaves or the ice cubes out. Clues to grill, revealing no smoke

When you want to grill in your oven without any smoke , put a cup of water on the bottom of the oven. Water soaks up all the oil and smoke.
Put cubes of sugar in your bread cupboard.
If the bread you keep in your cupboard gets moulty in a short time, put one or two cube(s) of sugar in there. From time to time change them. Doing so you can save your bread longer. If you put them there when they are fresh they won't go mouldy.

For the onions gone green
Onions kept for too long turn to be green and lose their freshness by starting ripening. When you put them in a paper bag, keep them in the bottom of the fridge so you can prevent them from being ripened and going green.

To prevent puding, souce and gel you made from turning thick on the surface, as soon as you make them spread some margarine or cream so that skin and pores would dissappear

Odour of frying
To get rid of the odour of frying, boil a cup of water and 2 spoons of vinegar
To prevent foods stick on the pan or soucepan

When you fry or saute, heat the pan before you put oil in it. Even eggs won't stick on the pan.
If you spread some salt, oil won't spread around.
If you put vinegar in your new fry pan and boil it, there will be no problem of foods getting sticky on it.
If you have a metal strainer, put it up side down on to the frying pan so there won't be any vapour or spreading of oil.
When you are warming up meat put slices of pastrami-like meat on the bottom of the pan. You'll see that they are not sticking.
